![]() Is there some additional disk connected to your system that isn't shown in that Backup tab? If so, how is it physically connected to your system? If you say you can't see "a drive", that would mean that Reflect isn't able to see a physical hard drive that's connected to your system somehow, which would prevent you from restoring onto it (or making a backup of it you ever needed to do so from Rescue, which is sometimes needed.) But again, it seems that Rescue detects at least 4 disks. So what are you NOT seeing in Rescue that you expect to see? The confusion might stem from terminology. ![]() You earlier mentioned that you weren't able to see "all drives" and instead could only see an image on "the Seagate". You posted the Backup tab as viewed from Rescue and the Restore tab as viewed from Rescue.īut working with what you posted, the Rescue environment clearly sees at least 4 disks, judging by the view from its Backup tab. ![]() I wanted to see the Backup tab as viewed from Rescue and the "Create a backup" tab as viewed from Reflect running within Windows just to make sure Rescue could see the same disks that Reflect in Windows could. Please be gentle with me, I'm a grey haired wrinkly who's been in lockdown for the past 3 months! īutt Spell Chequers Two Khan Make Awe Full Miss Steaks There are plenty of videos showing how to restore from within Windows but I've been unable to find anything showing how to do it from Outside Windows.Īny help would be appreciated. I've been unable to fix in my mind how I would recover if Windows wouldn't boot and I'm just presented with the splash screen showing the makers name or blue screen of death.Īm I right in thinking that with my computer turned off I would have to insert the USB Drive into the USB Port, then boot (push the power button) the computer with the bootable recovery, I'd then be able to navigate to Macrium Reflect and do a C Drive restore in the same manner, ie from within Windows. I've created a bootable recovery USB drive and I also have a file on my C Drive for Macrium Boot. However I have only used it from Inside windows to restore the C Drive which has 4 partitions (makers settings) My computer will never allow me to do a system restore, even when I disable anti-virus, I can create a restore point but it will never restore.
